Gifts of the Spirit include Tongues. Speaking in strange language or Tongues during Christian meetings/worship is common. Strict rules on it are found in the book of 1 Corinthians 14 verses 20 to 28.
It is clearly stated that Speaking in Tongues in the Assembly/Church of belivers must not be chaotic. That it must be orderly , one after the other. And where there is no Interpreter , to make sense what is being spoken , the speaker must be quiet. And pray to God in silence.
Today Tongues is very popular. It is falsely considered a must for the Christian. This gift is the lowest of the Gifts of the Spirit. Paul in Corinthians said he spoke more Tongues than anyone. And that it is better to speak one word that is understood than to utter many words with no meaning to the believers.
The Apostle Paul by Grace of God , since he did not see and follow Jesus the Christ physically , described Charity , Unconditional Love , as the greatest of all virtues. Paul beautifully wrote in the Espistle to the Church at Corinth: If I have Angelic Knowledge , power to understand hidden secrets etc. and have no Charity , then I am just empty cymbals. That is not even Angelic Knowledge , power to understand secrets , future and present events compare with power of Unconditional Love , Agape or Charity.
Tongues are spoken in loud , chaotic and disorderly manner and continues without Interpreter during Christian Meetings. Such gathering is anti Word of God and at variance with rules on Tongues. It could only be under satanic influence. For presense of the Lord Jesus the Christ cannot be where activities are not in HIS NAME , according to Scripture.
Speaking in Tongues is not a preserve of any religion or entity. Pagans , Idol worshippers and satanists could speak in Strange Language during meetings. Pastors teach how to Speak Tongues in the Churches. They encourage their followers to utter meaningless words at their meetings. It is false to claim that Tongues , Speaking in Tongues , is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit.
